What’s been happening in Music?

What? Fourth week of second term already? A lot has happened in the music room since the last post!

Be sure to visit the different levels to find out what has been going on in your child’s musical development.

Our 2015 School Choir is giving their premier performance in Assembly this coming Monday. It promises to be very entertaining, with the upbeat message ‘Have A Go’. This was certainly evident in the spirit of the Cross Country Event we all experienced  last week. Congratulations to everyone who participated!

The Cultural Diversity Day was a great opportunity to remember and even learn different songs and dances from around the world. The music room has never looked more colourful and vibrant.

Check out this video clip for an impromptu performance of some our Year 4  boys on the multicultural day.

Welcome to the new music blog

blog picture 4Welcome to the Ripponlea P.S. Music Blog. Here you will find out what exciting things  are happening in the Performing Arts across the school. By clicking on each page in the menu you will enter the music space of the students. Through snap shots, video shoots  and sound bytes you will glimpse their  music room activities and be able to continue conversations at home. There will also be  resources that will enrich learning and more readily enable  continued music making outside the school.

It is great to have Mr G joining the Performing Arts team and bring his experience as a performing musician and his music industry knowledge to our senior students. His passion for and skills with technology will certainly engage the students and provide opportunities in using  multimedia in the music classroom.
