UNIT TERM 3 – ‘GROWING CHANGES’ – Mirror Song project

This term foundation have been exploring tempo and dynamics as well as doing lots of singing learning some simple kodaly signs.

We have learnt to play a steady pulse on different instruments and to musical pieces with different tempi.  Watch Class FA perform a French folk song ‘Les Salutes’  playing their instruments on the beat and trying to keep a circle shape.

Unfortunately all the mirrors in Ripponlea got stolen so we had to learn to mirror each other playing and moving!! So we learnt a ‘mirror’ song and turned it into a fun copying game!   We had to follow a leader by copying their movements and change in tempo in movement and on instruments.  Not only has our singing got better but we have learnt to play instruments in different ways.
