Animal Madness – exploring structure and textures

This term in Music students have learnt basic skills on the pitched percussion and are learning how to accompany a melody with a simple borden.  They have learnt how to play the xylophones to accompany a song called ‘Pudding on the Hill’ .

In drama they are collaborating in small groups to act out the story of ‘Pudding on the Hill’ and have been exploring how different animals would move at different levels!

They have been listening to the Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saens to try to identify different animals!
